Masti @ Mardi Gras Party!!!

Well hello!!!,
31st January, 2008 was the Mardi Gras Party (I still dont know the name of the place where I had gone!!! :D). The interesting part of the whole deal was that we had to dress up like something different....

We, ie me n my friends spent days thinking of wht to wear.... finally thought that it does not make sense to spend a lot of money on the disguise and thus shud do with the least possible spending and the conclusion that we all came to resulted in all of us looking like.....

By the time we were ready to leave it was already 4 am!!! ooh ya the party started at 11 pm...
I was sooo tired, n home was a good 45 mins away... neways some how we managed to get the bus, went standing thru out and rched home by 5 am!!!! It was a matter of minutes before I went to sleep!!!

What a day.... it was amazing.... life here never seems to be still.... always some adventure!! :)

Mont St Michel

So, sunday 27th of January 2008.... I went to Mont st Michel.
It was a beautiful day, no clouds whatsoever.... sunny and clear!! oooh.....


We were supposed to go to St Malo, wch is a beach and a walled city, but we missed the bus due to some confusion in the morning.... The bus started at 11.30am from a station called "Le Gare" and it costed 17 Euros going and coming!!!! (I know "oh my GOD")

It was beautiful yet tiring... we climbed like a million stairs... it was soooooo high....
but it was all worth it..... the view was amazing!!! the sky meeting the sea.....

The day ended with crepes and gallets.... which is nothing but sweet and salty dosa!!! hehe

Reaching Rennes!!

hmmmm..... we rchd Rennes on the 15th of January at night and there was the welcome team waiting for us....
its an association that takes care of the foreign exchange students, and helping them get used to the environment here.

They made the transition extremely smooth and "pain" free!!

We had a welcome party at Kenland pub. which was awesome and I had a lot of fun. Danced till late night and was sooo tired that I almost fell asleep in the nightclub!!!

its 28th of January today.... and m having the time of my life!!

Arrival Adventure!!

Aha.... Beautiful Paris!! All of us, i.e. Kapil, Abhishek, Siddharth and I, reached Paris at 12.00am on 14th January paris time. Ohh we were all tiered and every thing but yet there was a sense of adventure a sense of excitement as if something great was about to happen!!

And it did.....

We waited and waited and waited for our bags to arrive, but no!!! they had got lost somewhere in transit. You see somewhere in the middle of nowhere we had to change the flight at dubai to continue our journey to paris!!

The bags not wth us... with no whr to go.... we were contemplating wht to do, when suddenly it dawned on kapil that his mother's friend stayed in paris!! we called her... and she, so sweetly, invited us to her place. So we spent the night here and this is how my great adventure abroad begins!!

Next day we were supposed to get the bags, but as it wud happen... the rest of the 3 got their bags and I did not!! hah... my luck is really nice.. :)

off we went to Rennes where we were supposed to start the studies etc, which by the way is the reason why I m here in France (also :D), in a TGV (or a Tey Jhey Way as they say it here). The way was beautiful... lovely scenery and beautiful houses, greenery all the way.... Ohh it was beautiful.... I wish i could capture it the way i saw it... My journey has begun... with a little hiccup but yeah... it has started....
